Junji Ito is a Japanese horror manga artist, born on 31st of July, 1963 in Sakashita, part of Nakatsugawa, Gifu.
His experience with horror started at a young age, with his first manga being Mummy Teacher by Kazuo Umezu.
in 1987 he submitted a short story which was later serialized as Tomie, arguably his most famous work.
Since then he has gone on to write dozens of horror mangas, such as Uzumaki, Gyo, and Hellstar Remina
